The only gallery with professional curator
On December 18th, 2007, Khan Bank held its Khan Bank Art Gallery opening ceremony. The gallery presents new exhibitions on monthly basis providing opportunity for the painters and artists to run their exhibition and to exhibit their work to the public. Hence, it is an opportunity for the art viewers and enthusiasts to experience various types and trends of art works. It is the only gallery in Mongolia that has professional art critic and curator. Since 2002, Mrs.Ts.Uranchimeg has been employed as Khan Bank curator and presently she’s overseeing the Bank’s art collection and Art Gallery exhibitions.
The exhibitions are thematic and are unique in terms of their new ideas and motives towards the society. Performances and interviews are organized during the exhibition creating live connection between the artist and the viewers.
Khan Bank Art Gallery is open from 09.00-18.00 during the work days and the artists’ exhibition is displayed with free of charge. The gallery aims at presenting new and unique exhibitions that raise critical social issues. Khan Bank Art Gallery door is open to every person who is interested in public display of his/her art work.
Artists who are interested in displaying his/her exhibition at Khan Bank Art Gallery shall submit his/her small project proposal which includes the followings:
- Brief description of the exhibition theme and advantage
- Details of Exhibitors name, autobiography, address and telephone number.
- Brief description on how many art work will be displayed during the exhibition and in what manner
- Precise description on the activities and performances to be organized during the exhibition for the purpose of engaging Khan Bank employees and public to the art work.
- Attachment of 3-5 color photos of art works to be attached.
