Applying for funding

Organizations, projects and groups seeking funds for projects or programs must submit a full proposal or letter of request including the following information:

•    Project overview
•    Introduction of the project implementing agency
•    Needs, reason or problem (target group, statistics etc).
•    Total funds requested, budget, detailed breakdown of projected expenditures.
•    Information regarding other funders,sponsors and partners of the project
•    Time and format of progress reports.

Organizations, projects and programs that have previously received funding from the Khan Bank Foundation are eligible to reapply for foundation support.

Submission time

Khan Bank Foundation is open to receive applications and project proposals from NGOs, institutions or groups throughout year. It processes the applications and proposals in the framework of the annual budget. Unlike some other funding bodies, the Foundation does not  announce project contests with a certain deadline.

Processing applications and requests

Once grant application or project proposal is received, pre-assessment is conducted. The pre-assessment evaluates the rationale of the project proposal, expected outcomes, beneficiaries, cost-efficiency and implementation methods. At this stage, if necessary, additional information and verification are sought from relevant organizations and groups. The project proposals or applications which pass the pre-assessment are reviewed by the Board of the Khan Bank Foundation. The Board of the Foundation makes the final decision whether to support particular project or request based on the majority of the votes by Board members.
According to the procedure of Khan Bank Foundation, pre-assessment of applications and project proposals should take 10 working days at minimum level and final funding decisions should be made within 14 working days upon the submission.
